Description
The WA-87 is based on the classic 60’s circuitry that is widely considered to be one of the best studio microphones ever made. Warm Audio has spent a considerable amount of time getting even closer to vintage sound. The WA-87 R2 uses high-end components such as the Fairchild NOS transistor and Nichicon and Wima polystyrene and film capacitors. The new version of the Cinemag USA custom transformer improves the frequency response and slightly increases the output level. The capsule used is identical to the one used in the WA-87, with the exact specifications of the vintage one. The result is an incredibly accurate sound, faithfully reproducing the most widely used studio microphone in the history of recording.
