The Alnico 2 Pro Flat reverse woundreverse polarity for Stratocaster uses the same alnico 2 rod magnets and heavy Formvar mag wire as the staggered version, but is made RWRP so that, when combined with the neck or bridge pickups, will produce that classic, noiseless, in-between Strat quack. On its own it will give you the same sweet, smooth tone that you get from the standard wound model.Pair with our Alnico II Pro Flat Strat Aside from the flat pole pieces, we use the same materials to build these as we do for all of our vintage Fender style single coil pickups. We start by assembling the bobbins with the proper color and thickness of hand filed Forbon flatwork and alnico 2 magnets. We then lacquer our bobbins just as it was done during Fenders Golden Age. This pickup comes complete with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plate. Like all of our pickups, its then potted in our wax formulation for squeal free performance.
